Program Overview
Terra Foundation Convening Grants fund $10,000 to $25,000 for conversations, symposia, and workshops that spark interdisciplinary and intercultural exchange around the visual arts of the United States and Indigenous arts of North America. In-person, virtual, and hybrid formats all qualify.
The process runs in two stages: a grant inquiry due in September followed by a full proposal in November for organizations that get invited to apply.
Eligibility & Requirements
Open to arts centers, community-based cultural organizations, foundations, museums, research centers, and universities of any size, budget, or location, in the U.S. and internationally.
- Must hold U.S. 501(c)(3) status or an international equivalent; U.S.-based fiscally sponsored projects are welcome.
- Grants are not made to individuals.
- Organizations that received a Terra grant within the previous two grant cycles are not eligible to reapply.
