Program Overview
The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grant provides up to $5,000 to working artists facing a sudden, unexpected medical, dental, or mental health emergency. It's one of the few grants built specifically to help artists cover urgent health costs rather than fund a project.
This cycle covers emergencies that occurred on or after February 1, 2026.
Eligibility & Requirements
Open to working artists in visual arts, choreography, or film, video, electronic, and digital arts with average income below $80,000 ($160,000 for joint filers).
- Must have experienced a recent, unexpected medical, dental, or mental health emergency.
- Cycle 38 covers emergencies occurring on or after February 1, 2026.
