Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grant

The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grant provides up to $5,000 to working artists facing a sudden, unexpected medical, dental, or mental health emergency. It's one of the few grants built specifically to help artists cover urgent health costs rather than fund a project.

This cycle covers emergencies that occurred on or after February 1, 2026.

Open to working artists in visual arts, choreography, or film, video, electronic, and digital arts with average income below $80,000 ($160,000 for joint filers).

• Must have experienced a recent, unexpected medical, dental, or mental health emergency.
• Cycle 38 covers emergencies occurring on or after February 1, 2026.
