Program Overview
The National Endowment for the Arts' flagship grants program funds projects across every artistic discipline, from dance and design to music, theater, and visual media. Awards run from $10,000 to $100,000, with up to $150,000 available to Local Arts Agencies for subgranting. The application happens in two parts, with funding notifications expected in November 2026.
Eligibility & Requirements
Open to U.S. nonprofits, government entities, and federally recognized tribal communities with a track record of arts programming.

- Minimum prior-year operating budget of $30,000
- Not open to individuals or for-profit entities
- Part 1 due via Grants.gov by July 9; Part 2 via the NEA Applicant Portal by July 21
