First Flights x Kodak Film Fund

The First Flights x Kodak Short Film Fund awards up to £7,000/$10,000 toward production costs for scripted or documentary short films. A special Kodak category lets filmmakers shoot on real 16mm film stock, with winners receiving ten rolls of Kodak 16mm plus covered processing costs.

One filmmaker also lands a $10,000 post-production deal through partner Periscope, and all winners keep full creative control while being automatically considered for the Raindance Festival.

Open to emerging filmmakers worldwide working on live action or documentary short films of any genre.

• Projects must be intended for production no more than six months after the deadline closes.
• No major project credits required, this fund is built for emerging talent.
• Application fee: £20 early bird through August 31, £30 regular through September 30, £40 late through October 31.
