Building Black Wealth in Indianapolis: December Community Conversations You Should Know About

What’s Happening?

Mirror Indy, in partnership with Joi Harmon of The Success Plug, is hosting a series of community conversations on Black wealth in Indianapolis throughout December 2025.

The goal is to hear directly from Black residents about what has helped or hindered their ability to build wealth across generations and to gather insight that could influence future city policies.

Whether you’ve run a business, inherited nothing, invested in real estate, or simply have a story about money and family, your voice matters.

Why It Matters for Black Business Owners

For many entrepreneurs, access to capital and generational wealth makes the difference between launching an idea and staying stuck. These conversations are a chance to highlight the systemic barriers and hidden successes that shape Black ownership in Indy.

You can also participate anonymously, in person or online, by submitting a written, audio, or video response.
